ArcheAge Chronicles Warhammer Build

Warhammer: reported as a Berserker weapon with its own skills and trait tree.

Updated

Early Access is live. We are updating this page from launch-week patch notes, player reports and creator videos; changes land in the change log.

Class pairing: Reported· MMORPG.com Steam names Warhammer in a balance note. Pairing it to Berserker is from MMORPG.com's class intro.

The Warhammer is a Berserker weapon. Steam news names it in a pre-launch tuning list, while the Berserker pairing comes from MMORPG.com’s class preview.

How the Warhammer plays

According to MMORPG.com, the Warhammer is the choice if you want to overwhelm the other side, using not just the weapon but elemental powers of thunder and fire. A sensible approach is to start here if you want a heavier, elemental style. The Axe and Shield are the defensive alternative.

Known skills and trait paths

Officially, XLGAMES said in its October 29 letter that it tuned the Warhammer before Early Access. It did not name Warhammer skills.

MMORPG.com names four Warhammer skills: Surging Heat, Thundering Hurl, Meteor Hammer and Galactic Impact. The article gives no effect text for any of them, so we cannot describe what they do. Every weapon type has its own trait tree, and trait points come from Raeven’s Coilstones, each placed near a powerful boss, not from level. Nodes may give stat boosts, brand-new skills, or changes to how an existing skill works. XLGAMES says point costs and tree layouts may change with feedback.

Stat points for a Warhammer build

Strength raises physical attack, so a sensible approach is to start there. Constitution adds HP, which helps a melee class that wants to stay close. XLGAMES has not said whether the Warhammer’s elemental skills scale with physical or magic attack, so check the skill descriptions before you spend points on Intelligence. The character screen previews attack and crit changes before you lock a point in. See the Berserker guide for the full class picture.

What we are still collecting

Early Access is live. We are adding the following from public sources as they appear, each with a link and a date:

  • What the four Warhammer skills do, from patch notes or player reports.
  • Whether elemental skills scale with Strength or Intelligence, once documented.
  • How players compare the Warhammer with Axe and Shield for solo play.
