What are the ArcheAge Chronicles classes?

The four playable classes named in Steam news are Warrior, Ranger, Berserker, and Mage. A 2026-10-07 press release used different labels (Battlerage, Archery, Sorcery, and Defense) that do not match this later Steam list. Use the Steam names.

Is there a healer in ArcheAge Chronicles?

The four class names published so far are Warrior, Ranger, Berserker, and Mage. None of those names is a dedicated healer. Steam has not published a healing class or a healing skill list, so whether any of the four kits can heal is not stated yet.

Are ArcheAge Chronicles classes gender locked?

Yes, at Early Access launch. XLGAMES is adding gender choice one class at a time, starting with a female Warrior planned for the first update in December 2026. The stated goal is to remove gender locks from every class by full release.

Official· XLGAMES / Steam
Which gender is each ArcheAge Chronicles class locked to?

Press and creator coverage reports the Warrior and the Berserker as male, and the Ranger and the Mage as female. XLGAMES has not published this split itself; its only class-specific statement is that a female Warrior option is planned for the first update in December 2026.

What playable races are in ArcheAge Chronicles?

There is no race choice that any official source confirms. The Steam store FAQ lists four classes with two weapons each and names no playable races, and launch-day player reviews describe character creation as appearance options such as skin color and presets. Names like Kyrios, Firran and Aranzeb appear in class lore, not as a race picker.

What is the best class in ArcheAge Chronicles?

There is no settled best class yet. Early launch-week sources point to the Berserker with Axe and Shield as the most forgiving solo pick and the Ranger's Hatchets as the strongest PvP weapon, but most of them were written on the October demo. The tier list shows each placement with its sources.
